"My shoes were a bargain from Next, but I loved them: they were comfy and cute, with kitten heels and a pretty jewelled strap," she explains

Dan and his very best man chose to put on traditional English grey morning suits with embroidered ivory waistcoats from Opulence & Grace for the genuine wedding. Dan wore an ivory cravat, while the other groomsmen wore green cravats to match the bridesmaids' dresses, a perfect combination for the summer time.The bridesmaids
Jeanette's very best friends from Norway were by her side on her special day. "As we were in different countries, we had to do most of the planning and preparation via email and Facebook, but when they arrived right here for the wedding they were all so helpful and couldn't do enough for me," says Jeanette. Jeanette and Dan were married at St Andrew's Church, Worthing, with Jeanette walking down the aisle on the arm of her Mum, who wore Norwegian national dress. "She has always been there for me, so it was a natural choice," explains Jeanette. "It was very reassuring to have her beside me when I was at my most nervous." The couple's genuine wedding ceremony included influences from each of their cultures, with Dan's Grandfather reading from the Bible, and one of Jeanette's bridesmaids singing a Norwegian love song.The flowers
Arranged by Blossoms of Worthing, Jeanette carryied a waterfall bouquet of English white roses and greenery. Instead of posies, the bridesmaids wore wrist corsages, and also the reception tables looked stunning with their arrangements of roses and foliage in tall, slim vases: "Simple but elegant and very effective for the summer time," says JeanetteThe reception
Jeanette and Dan's wedding celebrations took place in the Highdown Hotel, Worthing. "It had a gorgeous reception room, and was also very convenient, as all of our Norwegian guests were able to stay in the hotel," explains Jeanette. "I even stayed there myself the night prior to the wedding, so I had more time to get ready." A friend made the table plan, menus and place cards, using the couple's fresh green accent colour, and Jeanette decorated the venue with photos of herself and Dan taken throughout their time together

A friend of Jeanette and Dan offered to DJ during the genuine wedding reception, and made sure everyone got up on their feet. On leaving their reception to let the rest of the guests party the night away, Jeanette and Dan were greeted by a surprise. "The bridesmaids and ushers had decorated our hotel room," Jeanette laughs. "The bathroom was so full of balloons, we couldn't even get in there, and they'd also filled our bed with rice… We ended up sleeping on top of the covers, as every time we thought we'd swept it all off, we found a bit more! It was summer time anyway so we were nice and warm"The honeymoon
Following the genuine wedding, the newlyweds spent a week relaxing by the pool in Kalkan, Turkey for their honeymoon. "We also booked a few extra days hoilday prior to going back to work," adds Jeanette. "It gave us time to relax and reflect on our amazing day."
